BJJ

BJJ, a mind sport that commits to each
individual’s purpose.

Pre-war jiu-jitsu was introduced to Brazil, evolved into the strongest martial art, and returned to Japan.
It is the strongest martial art created by the Brazilian Gracie family, inherited by Japanese Mitsuyo Maeda. It has three pillars: self-defense, combat, and sports. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu was devised so that even opponents who are inferior in physique and strength can win. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu simplified the martial art, and the competition aspect is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

  • Ms.TATSUYA MIZOGUCHI(Japan Self-Defense Forces)

    I started jiu-jitsu after being recommended by a senior officer at work. It's a sport that uses your head, so it's like a game, and it's great to be able to feel that your skills are improving. Also, the staff and the dojo students are really kind.

  • Ms.MASAO KASAMIZU()

    I started jiu-jitsu because I wanted to have balance between my work time and private time. I had no experience in martial arts, and I was nervous that if I could do it, but the way the instructors teach is very easy to understand, so there was no problem. There are many variations of techniques, and that keeps it interesting. It's a new sport, so I want more people to know about it.

  • Ms.YUJI MASUDA()

    Unlike other sports, when you use your head, you can use your body in a way that you don't normally use, which I think is very interesting. I have experienced various sports so far, but it is very new! There are many people in the class, regardless of age or gender, and I enjoy communicating with them during my free time.

  • Ms.JUNKO KANEMOTO(House wife)

    I like to travel by myself and that’s why I was interested in self-defense which led me to Jiu-jitsu. I have never done any sports or any martial arts. During my trial class, I actually asked the teacher, “what is jiu-jitsu?” (He answered very patiently, of course). The classes are fun and have a great atmosphere. It's fun to be able to realize my own growth, even if it's just a little by little.

  • Ms.NOBUAKI MATSUMOTO(Sports club manager)

    At first, I didn't know what to do, but as Professor Carlos and Paulo taught me in an easy-to-understand manner, I gradually learned how to apply the techniques, how to think ahead of the game, and my movements options are multiplying. It is like a puzzle or a game of chess, you start to get it and it gets really fun!

  • Ms.SHOKO OHYAMA()

    Depending on how you apply the technique, you can beat a bigger opponent. The instructor teaches in a very easy to understand manner that even I who didn’t know anything at first got to start and continue smoothly. Also, martial arts may have a scary image, but jiu-jitsu is a gentleman's sport that does not try to hurt your opponent. All the teachers and members are real gentlemen.

ATTRACT

A SAFE MARTIAL ART THAT ALLOWS AN ORDINARY PERSON TO ACQUIRE THE POWER OF A SUPER MAN.

Jiu-jitsu is a safe martial art that allows even ordinary people to gain the power of a super man. It has a low risk of injury, and has become very popular in the United States, Europe and Southeast Asia. United Arab Emirates has adopted the sport of jiu-jitsu in the curriculum of their public schools. In today's martial arts world, jiu-jitsu is a standard, but it has become a lifestyle that everyone from children to the elderly can enjoy.

SAFETY

BECAUSE OF IT IS SAFE, IT IS EASY TO START EVEN FROM ADULTS.

A major factor in its popularity in the world is its high level of safety. It is a system with a low probability of serious injury while practicing. In normal sparring there are no strikes. The aim is to be able to subdue the opponent without using strikes. Overpowering the opponent with only blows can lead to over-defense, so instead, we teach positioning, joint locks, and chokes that are highly controllable in a fighting style that considers not only the safety of yourself but also the opponent. Of course, we will also train how to respond to blows and self training. We practice according to the level of each individual and emphasize the safety of beginners.

Please cooperate with the following points to prevent injury.

  • ・Please prepare training clothes and shorts that do not have metal fittings.
  • ・If you are not feeling well, please take a rest and refrain from participating in practice.
  • ・If you have an underlying disease, please consult with us before joining, and if you have a mental illness, please consult with your doctor before coming.
